Vaibhav Goyal, FounderThe fashion industry is thoroughly dominated by dynamic trends and current trends suggest that niche offerings perform better than generalized offerings to eliminate competition. The franchise model for outlets is another strategy that helps create brand recognition and creates brand value. Queen Sixteen is one such brand that offers bottom wear for women and girls through franchise outlets. The brand offers bottom wear including leggings, churidar, trousers, denim, shorts, palazzos, and more that are specifically designed for Indian women’s requirements. Queen Sixteen has its manufacturing in Shamali, Uttar Pradesh where the apparel is intricately designed for all kinds of patterns including solids, embroidered, and embellished; all under a single roof.

Quality Custom made Apparel
The major USP that differentiates Queen Sixteen from its contemporaries is the customizable options for the customers that no other brand offers. The plus size customers often struggle for the right size and fit that provides a sense of comfort in the clothing. Queen Sixteen thus came up with a solution where the bottom wear is customized according to the customer specific measurements if the standard one is uncomfortable, and is shipped within seven days of the order placement.
The quality of the apparel is another USP of the brand. Queen Sixteen maintains a standard quality benchmark through its internal manufacturing unit. The manufacturing unit is strictly governed by quality parameters under detailed supervision and the quality check process ensures less rejection rate. Uniformity in quality is a successful step by the brand as this creates brand value. The raw materials also have to adhere to strict guidelines of purchase from the vendors.

Queen Sixteen offers all shades under one roof that also come with customis able options in the bottom wear category

Offering Fast Colors
Queen Sixteen believes in the fact that no business can survive without innovation and upgradation and thus invests in the modus operandi that primarily focuses on research. “The team at Queen Sixteen has artists and designers that cater to fulfilling the trends patterns by creating pieces that best complement contemporary fashion. The primary concern of the customers are the exact color shades that are unobtainable under a single source and thus create a fuss, running to various stores to match the right shade. Queen Sixteen offers all shades of leggings and palazzos for women and girls. An entire color palette under one roof is what the customers love about the brand and thus makes it a go-to option for colors”, says Founder, Vaibhav Goyal.

Queen Sixteen has faced several challenges in the initial journey, mostly in the covid phase. The company was incorporated in 2020, which marked the surge in covid-cases and thereafter imposed lockdown crushed many businesses. Queen Sixteen then restructured and rebuilt itself and in 2022, went fully operational with the franchise model offerings. The royalty- aising strategy at the company is that it takes 10 percent of the sales after the outlet has been fully operational.

Apart from the customers loving the brand for its quality, the industry has opened its arms too for the brand and gaining the status of a recent startup, Queen Sixteen has achieved an award from the Indian Industrial Association for setting up a manufacturing unit in the district of Shamali. As the requirements of the customers increase, Queen Sixteen is all set to leverage the opportunity by adding more offerings in the product line. The brand targets 100 outlets by the end of 2023 and with more investments in the franchise model, it plans to overachieve.
