National Handloom Day, celebrated on the 7th of August, was launched to commemorate the Swadeshi Movement started in 1905. This initiative by the Government of India is aimed at
building awareness about handlooms, extend support to our artisans and promote the richness of Indian weaves. With a similar objective, GoCoop.com, India’s first and largest online marketplace for Handlooms, was started with an aim to empower weavers and artisans through technology innovation. Founded on 15th of August 2014, over the last six years GoCoop has created the largest supply chain of handlooms in India.
